We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Head of Compliance to join our Risk and Compliance team. This pivotal role works closely with the Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for designing, operating, and enhancing NobleOak’s compliance management framework. You’ll champion regulatory governance, drive a positive compliance culture, and advise senior leaders and the Board on compliance and governance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and enhance the Compliance Management Framework, including monitoring obligations, reporting, and training.
  • Oversee compliance obligations, governance frameworks, incident and breach management, and complaints/dispute resolution.
  • Lead policy management and ensure regulatory compliance across the business.
  • Deliver high-quality compliance reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including Board and Committee presentations.
  • Provide practical, solutions-focused advice to management teams and support the uplift of compliance maturity.
  • Engage with regulators (APRA, ASIC, AFCA, OAIC, LCCC & CALI) and manage partner governance.
  • Champion NobleOak’s values and high-performance culture, acting as a coach and cultural leader.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years’ relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in compliance advisory or risk management roles within APRA/ASIC regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of compliance management in insurance and in complex organizations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
  • Experience supporting Executive Committees, Boards, and engaging with regulators.
  • Strong analytical, change management, and project management abilities.
  • Professional and personal integrity, with a relationship and outcome-focused approach.

Desirable:

  • 5–10 years’ life insurance experience, with risk, audit, accountancy, or actuarial background.
